The town, with a population of only 2,500, is known that is without a mayor, but has held open elections for animals whose owners have to pay a donation for primary schools.
Lincoln's won The election , after a vote for all the inhabitants of the small town, came on a ballot with 16 friendly animals, and besides Lincoln, most of the other candidates were dogs and cats,
Lincoln by 13 votes, beating Sami dog, who got 10 votes, while the other candidates together won 30 votes.
Lincoln is due to start his new job on Tuesday, and will remain in office for one year.
During his tenure as mayor, Lincoln is expected to attend local events, such as walking in the memorial day procession with his own scarf.
