Google unveils "Stadia cloud gaming" service, launches in 2019
Google has announced that it plans to launch a live video game platform called Stadia, enabling it to enter the gaming business. The platform allows players to jump through devices running Google Chrome and Chrome OS, such as pixel phones and Chromebox.
Google says the video games will be easy and simple, once you press the "Play Now" button the game will work, without downloading anything.
There is a controller dedicated to the game Stadia, but it is optional, according to the Associated Press.
The date of launch, or pricing, has not been announced, but the company says Stadia will be available in 2019 in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and parts of Europe.
Video game streaming typically requires strong Internet connectivity and more computer power than live streaming of any other video.
Google says it benefits from its data centers to run the system.
